The Saucony Xodus 3.0 is a much improved version of their Xodus 2.0 trail shoe. One big change is the ramped up lugging on the Vibram soles to give better traction not only on the mud and trail but also on the wet tarmac.

The other big change is the minimalist 4mm heel-to-toe drop. This means your foot is closer to the ground and gives you greater stability and control, even over rough terrain.

The shoes also feature a EBO plate, designed to protect the foot from sharp stones, tree roots and other objects underfoot. The Xodus benefits from a bootie construction which should keep debris out of the shoe and the out-sole wrap holds the foot securely and provides another layer of protection.
