Saucony ProGrid Guide 5 VS Saucony ProGrid Guide 4

By , January 9th, 2012 | News | 0 Comments

The ProGrid Guide is becoming a classic series, with its light support to suit the majority of runners and impressive responsiveness for a support shoe.

So, what have Saucony changed or added to the Guide 5 from the Guide 4?

Firstly, the Guide 5 is lighter by over 40 grams, making the shoe feel faster and even more responsive than ever. There are softer and more luxurious collar and tongue linings than before, increased medial flair for more stability and a new 3mm HRC+ Strobel board for instant step-in comfort. The other key difference between the models in the lower 8mm heel drop in the Guide 5, which enables the runner to be more efficient by encouraging them to land further towards the forefoot or midfoot for a quicker transition.

However, full length ProGrid Cushioning remains in both shoes for smooth cushioning.
